Errol Baran

Errol started his career in press working for the Times and Sunday Times and Hearst Magazines. After a further 4 years he then made the challenging move into Channel 4 Television Corporation starting as a Commercial Manager in Online and working his way up to Head of Future and Digital Media Advertising.

As Head of Department Errol was responsible for all Sales, Digital Operations, Integrated Partnerships, Third Party Partnerships, Inventory management and Advertising Operations, including the now market-defining 4 On Demand.

At Channel 4 highlights included growing and developing 4oD across online, connected devices and third party relationships and syndication, which culminated in securing the YouTube relationship and winning the BBCWW contract, an industry first.

Errol then moved to VEVO as Commercial Director UK and Clear Channel to take on the launch of the markets first all digital Out Of Home proposition – Storm. Storm went on to win 9 Awards at Cannes Lions in 2014 for its creative work with BA.

Before joining the BBC, Errol was at Live Nation, running partnerships for key clients across the UK and Europe. At the BBC, Errol’s remit is to develop the commercial product portfolio and the profile of the business through consumer insight and partnerships.
